Star Central Productions is available for hire on independent or commercial productions across North America with it's privately owned and operated 35mm digital camera rigs. Our camera rigs are available for rental across Canada and allows directors to shoot 35mm film style while capturing 35mm film like images directly to digital media such as the Firestore DTE Recorder, miniDV tape or Panasonic P2 cards.
Our camera rigs are fully equipped with matt box, lightweight 15mm support bars and can be outfitted with a Chroziel follow focus system and is perfect for use in films, commercials, music videos or any production looking to acquire 35mm film like images with all the benefits of shooting digitally.

Star Central Productions offers the P+S Technik mini35 digital adapter with the Canon XL2 SD or Panasonic HVX200 HD camera package and its collection of 24mm, 35mm, 55mm & 85mm high speed lenses to bring you 35mm film like images on digital format.
Use of 35mm equipment is critical in achieving the look of 35mm film since it allows you to get the same depth of field, focus and angle of view as 35mm film productions. Both our 35mm digital SD and HD camera packages offer true 16:9 widescreen images at 24 progressive frames per second to produce the highest film-like quality images achievable on digital today.

Use of 35mm equipment is only one aspect of creating cinematic and film like images however. Other factors such as lighting and cinematography, color correction and grading in post production also contribute to and play an important role in achieving a cinematic look.
